Simonetta Moro

Simonetta Moro is a visual artist, scholar, and educator. Her research in cartographic aesthetics informs her book Mapping Paradigms in Modern and Contemporary Art: Poetic Cartography (Routledge: Advances in Art and Visual Studies in 2021). Her most recent publication is The Vattimo Dictionary (Edinburgh University Press, 2023). Moro obtained degrees in fine arts (practice and theory) in Italy and the UK. She currently lives in New York City and is the President of the Institute for Doctoral Studies in the Visual Arts (IDSVA).
