Airyka Rockefeller

Originally from an island in the Puget Sound, Airyka Rockefeller moved to New York in 1997 to pursue studies in photography, writing and phenomenological anthropology at Sarah Lawrence College. Variously working as a writer, dancer, cook, jewelry-designer and photographer, she has lived as an artist in residence in India, Eastern Europe and the Pacific Northwest. In 2005 she completed her masters of fine arts from California College of the Arts in San Francisco, where she is currently based.
