"The Best Art In The World"
J. Howard & Co., Prancing Horse Weathervane, c.1855 at Thistlewaite Americana
By PAUL LASTER, February 2020
Returning for its 66th edition, The Winter Show offers a highly vetted selection of art, antiques and design presented by 72 international exhibitors at New York’s Park Avenue Armory through February 2, 2020.
Perusing the fair and learning from dealers, we’ve chosen 25 works that we would add interest to any collection of fine and decorative arts—ranging from paintings by Arthur Dive and Ida Ten Eyck O’Keeffe (Georgia O’Keeffe’s younger sister) and Harry Bertoia, Fritz Klitsch and Emily Young’s sculptures to drawings by Andy Warhol and Axel Salto and Ugo Zaccagnini’s ceramics.
