"The Best Art In The World"
By RUBEN NATAL-SAN MIGUEL October 1st, 2025
For those of you in or visiting the Bay Area, this is an exhibition you can’t miss!
It’s free to the public and features a series of events that make it a true destination. After all, who doesn’t love dogs—and art about dogs?
This exhibition showcases works from some of today’s most exciting contemporary artists, making it a win-win. Below are just a few highlights. Like Pamela, I find it hard to choose favorites—I love every single work in this collection.
Some More Dogs is the second presentation of highlights from the Hornik Collection and celebrates the breadth of artistic expression it contains. The show includes curatorial input from several friends and colleagues, most notably from Chunk and Meatball’s mom.
The original exhibition, curated by PJ Policarpio in 2023, later traveled as Some Dogs Go to Dallas, curated by the Green Family Art Foundation in 2024. Works from the “Dog Pack” have also been on view at the Cantor Arts Center at Stanford, the New-York Historical Society, and the Anchorage Museum in Alaska.
Pamela Hornik, the driving force behind Some Dogs has inadvertently become something of an art-world influencer. She is a tireless champion of artists and is known for her genuine, unselfconscious Instagram presence, where she shares the extraordinary range of art she encounters daily. Pamela is equally famous (or infamous) for her unabashed love of dogs. Her posts chronicle life with her own dogs, Teddy and Auggie—both seasoned gallery-goers—as well as her dog encounters with strangers. True to her passion, she also supports multiple dog-rescue organizations. WM
