NEW YORK, Gallery Hanahou presents "Pictorial Aural", through June 25, 2008

"Pictoral Aural," the new solo show of musically-inspired artwork by UK artist Marcus Oakley (marcusoakley.com), opened at gallery hanahou last Thursday to a chorus of praise! Marcus's fans gathered from all over the globe for a truly sensual experience, feasting their eyes on his artwork and their ears on tunes personally selected by the artist for the occasion.

The following morning Marcus was back at the gallery to host a talk and workshop titled "What Does Sound Look Like?" Participants spent a morning full of pleasant surprises as they discovered their inner synesthesia through visualizing music.

If you missed these events, "Pictoral Aural" runs until June 25 at gallery hanahou. For those who cannot visit in person, all artwork from the show (including the book The Idea of Something, with 60+ pages of Marcus's artwork) can be viewed and purchased through the gallery website at galleryhanahou.com.
