Irvine Contemporary Exhibits New Art School Graduates in One of a Kind Show

Introductions3

August 11 through September 8

Opening Reception Friday, August 11, 6-8 pm

Irvine Contemporary is pleased to announce Introductions3, a review of recent MFA (Master’s of Fine Art) graduates from top national and international art schools. The exhibition is the first of its kind for a contemporary gallery in Washington, D.C. Showcasing both regional and national artists, Introductions3 is a unique opportunity for critics and collectors alike to view rising talent from the finest institutions before anyone else.

Irvine Contemporary invites you to be the first to review the artists and highlight the work in your publication in order to showcase the selected artists and announce the event.

  • Introductions3 present a wide range of backgrounds, media and influences that will create an innovative and fresh show unlike any other exhibition in the .

  • A final review committee comprised of contemporary art collectors, rather than curators, critics or gallerists made the final selection of Introductions3 artists.

  • Over 250 artists from 60 different art colleges were reviewed for Introductions3.

  • Institutions represented include Rhode Island School of Design, Virginia Commonwealth University, Parsons School of Design, San Francisco Art Institute, School of the Art Institute of Chicago and New York University.

  • This third year of Introductions at Irvine Contemporary has grown to an “MFA annual” that brings the best of rising art talent to Washington, D.C.

  • Irvine Contemporary specializes in contemporary art by emerging and mid-career artists with growing national and international reputations. We also include in our gallery inventory works by major established artists like Donald Judd and Chuck Close, and we host curated exhibitions with many leading contemporary artists. The gallery is located at 1412 14th Street, NW, near P Street in the 14th Street Arts Corridor and Logan Circle area of Washington, D.C.  The gallery is open Tuesday through Saturday, 11am to 6 pm.
