Photo Essay: Unseen Images From Frieze NY 2017

by MAX NOY, JUN. 2017

Frieze's annual London and New York art fairs are always stuffed to the brim with works of art ranging from the dazzling to the downright haunting, providing a feast for the eyes that perfectly captures the pulse of the global contemporary art world. This year's Frieze New York (its sixth annual) was no exception, hosting works from over a thousand artists at a variety of career stages from over two hundred galleries located in over thirty different countries. Photographer Max Noy attended the fair, which ran from May 5-7 at Randall's Island Park; here, he presents a keen view of some of the highlights of the proceedings, combining candid and posed shots that, in lieu of having been able to attend, provide the next best thing.
