BALTIC Centre for Contemporary Art will present work by the internationally renowned artist Jeff Koons from February to April 2008. The exhibition will bring together several major sculptural works with recent paintings from the collection owned by New York financier and international art collector Steven A Cohen.

The Jeff Koons exhibition will be part of BALTIC’s Collectors Series. The series examines and celebrates the nature of collecting contemporary art while presenting collections in an imaginative, provoking and unique way.

BALTIC will assemble an extraordinary range of works by Jeff Koons, many being shown in the and Europe for the very first time. Several large works including the painting Geisha and pieces from the Celebration Series will be presented in the Level 4 gallery, as well as key bronze and ceramic works from the late 1980s including Life Boat, 1985 and Stacked, 1988.
